The ministry of Contigo began in 2009,
when Oswaldo and Denise Pineiros first
visited an orphanage in Quito, Ecuador.
During their initial visit, they were brought face to face with the problem of the orphan crisis in Ecuador.
The needs were overwhelming and their hearts were broken on behalf of the children. Humble beginnings have made way for a wide-spread ministry that now reaches more than 1000 children annually.
In March 2010, God called Evelyn Gaibor to work in an impoverished community; the neighborhood called “Pisulí” located in Quito, the capital of Ecuador. She started a meeting with 6 women and 8 kids. With a friend, she began going every Wednesday to give them a message and play with the kids. Every week, more children came.
In 2014, she met Oswaldo and Denise. Immediately, all three of them sensed that the connection was from the Lord and they asked Evelyn if she wanted to be a part of Contigo. During these 10 years, God has allowed them to see the transformations in entire families, development in the community, restored women, and spiritual growth in kids and youth.
Campamento Emanuel is our Comunity Center where currently we serve around 300 kids.
As Contigo ...
We want to see children adopted or re-inserted into healthy biological families. We want to help institutions become well trained and fully funded. We desire for children at risk to feel loved and made to feel safe in every aspect of life.
We hope to prevent abandonment by poverty. We do this by strengthening the family unit in impoverished areas where abandonment is possible.
To improve the quality of life of people at risk in Ecuador
